Traditional Chinese Medicine
Each acupuncture visit begins with asking about your health history and specific concerns, as well as tongue and pulse diagnosis. Once your needs are understood you'll lie down comfortably while very thin needles are gently inserted at specific points on your body to promote balance and healing.
The session typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes, during which you may feel relaxed and at ease. Afterward, we will discuss follow-up treatments or lifestyle recommendations such has Traditional Chinese Herbs or Nutrition to enhance your well-being.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient therapeutic practice that originated in China over 2,000 years ago, based on the principle of balancing the body’s energy, or Qi, along pathways called meridians. By inserting fine needles at specific points, acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, improves circulation, modulates immune and endocrine function, and supports the body’s natural healing processes.
In my practice, I primarily use peripheral points with small, single-use DBC Jroena needles, which are extremely fine and comfortable, allowing for precise, gentle stimulation that effectively supports both local and systemic balance while minimizing discomfort for patients.

Cupping
Dr. Harmon is trained in both traditional fire cupping and modern air cupping. Fire is a traditional therapy in which a flame is briefly used inside a glass cup to create a vacuum before placing it on the skin. This suction promotes circulation, draws stagnant blood and lymph to the surface, and helps release muscle tension. When combined with acupuncture, fire cupping can enhance treatment by addressing deeper muscular and connective tissue restrictions, supporting pain relief, inflammation reduction, and overall energy flow.
For air cupping, we use "Love Cups", which add a little extra sweetness to your treatment as these unique heart shaped cups leave a heart shaped mark on your skin for a few days after treatment.
Chinese Herbs
Chinese herbal medicine is a cornerstone of traditional Chinese medicine that uses carefully selected plant, mineral, and animal-based formulas to restore balance and support the body’s natural healing processes. When combined with acupuncture, herbs can enhance treatment outcomes by addressing internal imbalances, supporting organ function, reducing inflammation, and promoting circulation and energy flow. Together, acupuncture and herbal medicine work synergistically—acupuncture provides immediate energetic and neurological regulation, while herbal therapy supports deeper, systemic changes for lasting wellness.
